Background: Patients with colorectal cancer are usually treated with chemotherapy, which reduces the number of blood cells, especially white blood cells, and consequently increases the risk of infections. Some research studies have reported that aromatherapy massage affects the immune system and improves immune function by, for example, increasing the numbers of natural killer cells and peripheral blood lymphocytes. However, there has been no report of any study which provided good evidence as to whether aromatherapy with Thai massage could improve the immune system in patients with colorectal cancer. The objectives of this study were to determine whether the use of aromatherapy with light Thai massage in patients with colorectal cancer, who have received chemotherapy, can result in improvement of the cellular immunity and reduce the severity of the common symptoms of side effects. Materials and methods: Sixty-six patients with colorectal cancer in Phichit Hospital, Thailand, were enrolled in a single-blind, randomised-controlled trial. The intervention consisted of three massage sessions with ginger and coconut oil over a 1-week period.

They typically include a summary of the case, teaching objectives, information about the intended audience, details about how the case may be taught, and a list of references and resources. The following video s are recommended for use in association with this case study. RA normally affects both the joints of the body at an equal rate and begins slowly with stiffness, fatigue and minor joint pains. The symptoms include joint pains, morning stiffness for about an hour, numbness or burning in the feet and hands, and nodules below the skin. Treatment of RA is life-long and includes education, medications, physiotherapy and surgery Makover, Principle of Haematoxylin and Eosin stain After oxidation of haematoxylin, the final product is haematin which is the active ingredient in the staining solution. This in situ oxidation is enhanced by the addition of a strong oxidant to the stain.
Key differences in the immune responses to Covid is one of the reasons why some people get sick while others fight off infection without knowing they have it, according to scientists. UK researchers have found those who remain asymptomatic after catching coronavirus often have raised levels of a protective type of immune cell known as B cells, which is missing in people with severe symptoms. The team also discovered that patients with mild to moderate symptoms have high levels of helper T-cells, which help fight infection, while those with serious symptoms have lost many of these immune cells. They said the findings, published in the journal Nature Medicine, may in future help identify those who are more likely to develop severe disease by looking at levels of these immune cells in their blood and identifying potential treatments for them.
